A Prophetic Outline of Luke 19

                                                                            that Christ “went before” [in front of;

                                                                            leading] His disciples.  This foreshadows

                                                                            the Lord’s return as prophesied in

                                                                            Micah 2:12-15.  Micah reveals that the

                                                                            Lord will leave Bozrah[Edom;

                                                                            Petra], followed by “their king” [David;

                                                                            Jeremiah 30:7-9; Ezekiel 37:24-25], and

                                                                            their king” will be followed by the Jews

                                                                            who are in Petra at that time.  Glory!

                                                                                 Notice also that Christ is “ascending

                                                                            upto Jerusalem.  To enter Jerusalem

                                                                            from the east one must pass over the

                                                                            mount of Olives, for it is the mountain

                                                                            sitting directly east of Jerusalem.  Christ,

                                                                            traveling towards Jerusalem, then had to

                                                                            ascend [go up] the east side of the mount

                                                                            of Olives before He could ride down the

                                                                            west side of the mountain into Jerusalem.
