"'An Open Letter' concerning a last days characterizing teaching among us"


Is there not a last days characterizing teaching among
us, that scripture tells us God hates?

A twisting of the word of God, as opposed to what the
Lord actually says?

And so, soon, MANY may hear these most horrific words
being said: depart from me, ye that work iniquity?

Thus Jesus now warns:

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we
not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast
out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
 

And instructs us to hear these words instead:

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is
evil; cleave to that which is good.

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly
love; in honour preferring one another;

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved
the church, and gave himself for it;

Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against
them.
 

Is there not a particular last days characterizing
wicked teaching among us, that scripture tells us God
hates, that is also illustrative of our diminishing
regard for His purpose of our being called to the
obedience of faith:

Romans 1:5  By whom we have received grace and
apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all
nations, for his name:

Romans 16:26  But now is made manifest, and by the
scriptures of the prophets, according to the
commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all
nations for the obedience of faith:
 

And just as Jesus judged that generation of His people
2000 years ago as wicked and adulterous, so might we,
the generation when He returns, also be found
unfaithful, wicked and adulterous, for recall His
warning, 'Will I find faith?'

It would seem that we have yet to really agree with
God's word to us in Jeremiah 17:9  The heart is
deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked:
who can know it?

And in Romans 7:18  For I know that in me (that is, in
my flesh), dwelleth no good thing: for to will is
present with me; but how to perform that which is good
I find not.
 

And maybe thus Heaven's assessment of why many prayers
may yet go unheard:

Malachi 2:13-16

And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the
LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out,
insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more,
or receiveth it with good will at your hand.

Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been
witness between thee and the wife of thy youth,
against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she
thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.

And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the
spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly
seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none
deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.

For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth
putting away: for one covereth violence with his
garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed
to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
 

Woe to any of us who would twist God's words so as to
find some 'lawful' reason to divorce and remarry
before the death of our spouse, after we have been
rightly joined by God.

Romans 7:2  For the woman which hath an husband is
bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth;
but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law
of her husband.

1 Corinthians 7:39  The wife is bound by the law as
long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be
dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she
will; only in the Lord.

Our Lord calls this adultery and mark His words well:

Romans 7:3  So then if, while her husband liveth, she
be married to another man, she shall be called an
adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free
from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though
she be married to another man.

1 Corinthians 6:5-9

I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a
wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to
judge between his brethren?

But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before
the unbelievers.

Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you,
because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not
rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer
yourselves to be defrauded?

Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the
kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators,
nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor
abusers of themselves with mankind ...
 

Matthew 7:21-23

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall
enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth
the will of my Father which is in heaven.  Many will
say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out
devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
 
 

Psalm 141:5 Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a
kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an
excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet
my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

Proverbs 9:8  Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate
thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

John 8:45  And because I tell you the truth, ye
believe me not.

Galations 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy,
because I tell you the truth?
 

Romans 12:1-21

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of
God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice,
holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable
service.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may
prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect,
will of God.

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every
man that is among you, not to think of himself more
highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly,
according as God hath dealt to every man the measure
of faith.  For as we have many members in one body,
and all members have not the same office:  So we,
being many, are one body in Christ, and every one
members one of another.  Having then gifts differing
according to the grace that is given to us, whether
prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion
of faith;  Or ministry, let us wait on our
ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;  Or he
that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let
him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with
diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is
evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly
affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in
honour preferring one another; Not slothful in
business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing
instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of
saints; given to hospitality.

Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them
that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another.
Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low
estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things
honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as
much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give
place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is
mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine
enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink:
for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his
head.

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
 

Are we made right with God by the righteous blood of
Jesus Christ so that we would then continue on in our
doing of what seems right in our own eyes?

Is it not rather so that might now be enabled to hear
Him and follow Him, so as to not perish with all who
rebel against Him, showing a real and foolish comtempt
of Him and His Holy Truth, which is Spirit and Life to
all who do hear Him?
 

May we even yet see what might still be for us to see
in this revelation:
 

Jeremiah 31:18-20

I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus;
Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a
bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn thou me, and I
shall be turned; for thou art the LORD my God.

Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after
that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was
ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the
reproach of my youth.

Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for
since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him
still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I
will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD.
 

May we yet know His shalom shalom,
