Last year 6000 churches closed their doors and called it quit. This has been the norm for many years now. Church membership has been falling for the last 20 years. (The denomination that I was a part of when I was a child; the membership has been falling since 1945.)

Yes, there are some churches that are growing and growing fast. Where do the new members come from; other churches! The churches just keep trading members around, while all of the time the harvest that is white unto harvest remains untouched.

How about the church that you attend? How many people have got saved that are not the children of existing members? Is the baptistery dusty with cob webs? In most churches, the only people that get saved are the children of the members. Your church grows only by getting members from other churches or by having more babies born than members that have died.

The Church today refuses to go beyond the walls.  The church has become a club or social meeting place for its members. Kind of sounds like the Lions, Elks, Moose, or Masons. A large budget is needed for the buildings and for salaries so the members in the club can be comfortable and enjoy themselves. Does the harvest get attacked, NO! The church allows the harvest to go to Hell.

Years, decades pass and still the harvest is not touched. Church members will not evangelize or witness to people. They allow their friends, neighbors, and family to go to Hell.

What are the goals of your church?
Do the goals only pertain to the buildings and land? Are the goals a shopping list that will make the buildings and land better? The goals of a church reveals where she is going.
The harvest fields are still white until harvest and yet the church stays hidden behind the church walls.

The Lord of the Harvest waits. The blood bought ones with God in them who have the truth in them are all behind the walls of the church hiding. They are singing, praising, and worshipping while the harvest goes to Hell.
