"Stick to it?"

Hey John, my husband wrote this poem.  Seemed appropriate for us, ya know?  It seems to be getting harder and harder to "stick to it" as the calendar pages just keep on passing one by one with no Lord coming to take us home.

Blessings,
Angie

Get Around and Stick ‘To It’

Procrastination is known by us all

"To get around to it" our rallying call.

And when we begin a most arduous task,

"What was I thinking" is commonly asked.

The newness wears off, motivation wanes,

We seriously doubt that it’s worth all the pain.

But if we look back with objective view,

Again we can see that it’s what we should do.

So now that we finally have got around to it,

We need a reminder -- we’ve gotta ‘stick to it’.

So here’s my proposal for each one of us

(Members of Procrastinator’s Anonymous).

Lets each of us get a stick handy to see,

And write in BIG letters T, U, I, and T.

So, how will this ‘stick’ motivate us to do it?

… A constant reminder -- we’ve gotta ‘stick tuit’.
