"Bill Finley : How I Overcame Cancer"

Bill, your word will be an encouragement to many, and I thank you for it.

I have a similar story, but mine begins with a mild stroke during the
night of the 19th of December last.  When I awoke I had lost strength
and control of my thumb, forefinger and wrist of my right hand.  The
condition spread to the rest of the fingers of my right hand in the next
day or two.  I could not fully open my right hand.  A quick trip to
WebMD confirmed my suspicions as to having experienced a mild stroke.

For my healing I went to Isaiah 53:4&5 - By His stripes we are healed.
God made the promise - Jesus offered the sacrifice.  I stood upon the
promise and did not waver even when the infirmity was spreading.  It
soon stopped spreading, and the strength and control of the right hand
and wrist returned fully within a week, as I was confident it would.

The biggest problem that I faced was the reaction of my son and
daughter-in-law.  They are professing Christians but were unwilling for
me to rely upon God for my healing.  I was not happy that my wife had
brought them into the matter, nor was I prepared to brook any pressure
to dump God's promises in favor of the doctors.  The argument that
ensued was brief, but vigorous.  I would rely upon God's promises in
scripture, and that was that!

I was heartened to learn that you too had relied upon God, and that He
is good to keep His promises.  All should take note!

I pray that you will continue to be blessed.
