''Ten Thousand To Temple Mount''He says it is an effort to encourage Jews to make a pilgrimage to the holiest site in Judaism. The pilgrimage is planned for the beginning of the month of Nissan.
This year, that falls on April 10th. Traditionally, Nissan was a month when Jews would come from all over Israel as part of a Biblical commandment to show their faces three times a year on the holidays of Pesach, Shavuot and Succot.
In recent years there have been a number of attempts to bring large numbers of Jews onto the mount. However these groups, most notably Gershon Salomon’s Temple Mount Faithful have been consistently refused entrance on the grounds of security concerns.
But this year is different. For the first time in more than sixteen hundred years, the Jewish Sanhedrin exists again in Israel.
Remember, I reported a couple of weeks ago the following: That only this properly ordained body of sages can authenticate a Messiah when he comes; And that just a few weeks after the Sanhedrin's re-establishment, another enormously important development took place.
The religious sages began to consider the rebuilding of the Temple and reinstitution of ancient animal sacrifices as prescribed in the Law of Moses.
The fact that a re-established Sanhedrin is now considering the rebuilding of the Temple after 2,000 years is extremely important to students of Bible prophecy. S
o is the increasing hunger among Israel's citizens for the hope of peace offered through their expected Messiah. If this is the time I think it is, then such a march of 'ten thousand to the Temple Mount' would only be the beginning.
We'll be watching this closely in the days ahead.
