"Heavenly Signs and the Count Pattern Part 2"

First I must note a typo error in my part 1 letter yesterday.  I meant to type the date 9/13/93 as the day the Oslo agreement was signed in Washington.  I typed 9/13/03 in error.  I'm so used to typing "0" in the year, sorry about that.

Yesterday I detailed the apparently significant heavenly sign on the 9th of Av this year 8/13 - 8/14, and how it connects with the Oslo agreement approximately 12 years ago when a very similar sign appeared in the heavens.  Oslo is the agreement by which Israel would give up God's Covenant land.  Israel is scheduled to do so by military force for the first time on the 9th of Av.  The voluntary evacuation is scheduled to begin in July.  Considering the heavenly signs, the dates [13 = Rebellion], the count pattern I posted on Monday & Tuesday, and the Jupiter connection to Daniel 8:14, this giving up of land may be a very important milestone in the inexorable march to the end of the age.

When the Israeli Knesset officially committed to permanently giving up the land of the Gaza Strip and parts of the West Bank, for the first time in their history, there was another heavenly sign marking the occasion.  The commitment was approved by the Knesset on Tuesday 10/26/04.  The next evening, 10/27 into 10/28, there was a blood moon eclipse with interesting facets.  Totality occurred 4:23 to 5:45 AM Jerusalem time 10/28.  Basically, the eclipse reached totality resulting in a bright blood moon, then the fully eclipsed blood moon set in the west around 5 AM as seen from Jerusalem.  The moon was also in Aries.  At the same time the moon was setting on the western horizon in Aries, Saturn could be seen directly overhead in Gemini.  Moreover, there was a conjunction of Venus, Jupiter and Mars in Virgo rising on the eastern horizon just before dawn.  Sounds familiar doesn't it?

Also, 10/27 is the day when the news broke of Arafat's severe condition that resulted in his death on 11/11.  All these events tied to the giving up of land.

The 9th of Av event is not the only significant heavenly sign occurring on an important day that ties to the count pattern for the year 2005.  All the other 2005 start dates have notable celestial configurations as well.

Purim

Purim is the start of the 1335 and 1290 day counts in the pattern.  This year Purim starts the evening of 3/24/05.  On this evening Saturn will still be in Gemini.  Jupiter will still be in Virgo in retrograde, and the nearly full moon will also be entering Virgo.  The next night [3/25], the day of Purim, the Moon will officially be full and will be deeper into Virgo.

Pesach

Pesach [Passover] is the start of the 1260 day count in the pattern.  This year Pesach starts the evening of 4/23/05 right after the Sabbath.  On this evening Saturn will still be in Gemini.  Jupiter will still be in Virgo in retrograde, and the nearly full moon will be further through Virgo then Purim the month before.  The next night [4/24] the Moon will officially be full and will be exiting Virgo.

Shavuot

Shavuot [Weeks aka Pentecost] is the start of the 42 month count in the pattern.  This year Shavuot starts the evening of 6/12/05.  It spans into the Gregorian date of 6/13 [there is that 13 again].  Mercury, Venus, Saturn, the Moon, and Jupiter will be lined up in an arc from the WNW horizon to the Zenith directly overhead as seen from Jerusalem at dusk.  Mercury, Venus and Saturn will be in Gemini, the moon will be in Leo, and Jupiter will be in Virgo.  Here is a chart of this configuration as seen from Jerusalem @ 8:30 PM

Here are the Hebrew meanings of these objects again:

A very interesting configuration of celestial bodies indeed!!  On a significant day, Shavuot, which may be the beginning of the 42 month count.  So we have Purim, Pesach, Shavuot, and the 9th of Av; the count start days of the pattern.  All having notable Heavenly signs in the year 2005.  Again I ask, is this just a coincidence?

Heavenly configurations are only found on some of these feast/fast days in other years of the pattern, with the exception of 2012 which has more notable configurations on all of the dates.  But none of them have configurations as significant as 2005.  Especially since Jupiter will take another 12 years to come back around to Virgo.

I just can't get my mind off the issue of giving up the land.  If Israel follows through with the military action on 8/14/05, it seems to harmonize with something I have studied and wrote of in the past.  The subject is the Abomination of Desolation.  Following are the thoughts I shared here a while back.

The specific phrase "Abomination of Desolation" was used by Daniel in 11:31 & 12:11.  These chapters together are Daniel's final prophecy, placed in the first year of Darius the Mede, with chapter 12 being a continuation of chapter 11.  This prophecy was given during the rule of the Medo-Persian Empire who defeated the Babylonians in 539 BC, which places it either that year or sometime thereafter based on the opening verse 11:1.  It is approximately 47 years or more after the destruction of the 1st temple by the Babylonians.

Now that we know when this prophecy took place, lets take a look at the context in which the phrase "Abomination of Desolation" is used.  Most will agree that Daniel 11:1-20 is a prophetic description of the history of the Medo-Persian and Greek Empires [The Future to Daniel].  Daniel 11:21-45 is interpreted as either being prophetic of the Greek and Roman Empires, or else a combination of these and the kingdom of the Beast/Anti-Christ.  Either interpretation places the context of the "Abomination of Desolation" event of Dan. 11:31 as a future event to Daniel, sometime after 539 BC.

Some will say the "Abomination of Desolation" of Daniel chapter 11 occurred when Antiochus Epiphanes [Greek Empire after Alexander's death] occupied Jerusalem, desecrated the temple, and dedicated it to the false god Zeus around 167 BC.  If you believe Dan. 11:21-45 as being prophetic of the Greek and Roman Empires only, then this is likely to be true.  If you believe these verses are also prophetic of the Beast/Anti-Christ, then the Antiochus Epiphanes event may have only been a foreshadowing "Abomination of Desolation" with another fulfillment yet future to 167 BC.  I'll discuss this 2nd possibility shortly.

Daniel's prophecy continues in chapter 12, which is clearly a vision of the end times.  Verses 1 & 2 speak of the "time of trouble", and the Rapture / Resurrection at the 2nd coming.  Verses 5 & 6 are a conversation of beings in Daniel's vision and the question is asked, "How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be?"  Then verse 7 answers and includes a timeframe of "time, times, and half a time" when "all these things shall be finished" [I.E. all the events described in the previous verses]

Daniel did not understand what he saw and heard so in verse 8 he asks a question, "What shall be the end of these things?"  Verses 9-13 are the answer to Daniel's question.  In these verses Daniel is first told to seal up the words [for the 2nd time], then the 2nd "Abomination of Desolation" and the 1290 and 1335 day counts are given.  This answer adds more timeline details to the vision in verses 1-7 concerning the "time, times, and half a time."  In a separate vision in Daniel chapter 7, this "time, times, and half a time" timeframe is also associated with the time of the Beast, placing it as the time of Great Tribulation.  It seems clear to me that the chapter 12 "Abomination of Desolation" speaks of an end time event.

Now lets look at the "Abomination of Desolation" phrases of Daniel 11:31 & 12:11 from our Lord Yeshua's perspective.

Matthew, Mark and Luke give us an account of Yeshua's words known as The Olivet Discourse.  This is a description of the end times and the coming Kingdom, and is an answer to the disciples' questions:  "Tell us, when will these things be? [I.E. destruction of the 2nd temple] And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"  Yeshua answers them and describes the end of the age.  In His answer, Yeshua references the "Abomination of Desolation" spoken of by Daniel the prophet.  Let's take a closer look at this.

Matt 24:15 "Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" [whoever reads, let him understand], 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes." [NKJV]

Mark 13:14 "So when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not" [let the reader understand], "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 15 Let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter to take anything out of his house. 16 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes." [NKJV]

Luke 21:20 "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 21  Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her." [NKJV]

Remember, these are the accounts of the disciples written after Yeshua ascended into Heaven.  It is after they have understanding of all Yeshua taught them while he was with them.  The verses above are an account of the exact same point in Yeshua's discourse.  Daniel was told the words of his last prophecy were sealed till the time of the end.  Now we have Yeshua unsealing at least part of this prophecy.  He is providing detail and imploring those who were listening to watch, so when they see what He described to them they could flee.  Matthew and Mark insert into their quotes of Yeshua's words "whoever reads, let him understand" and "let the reader understand" indicating the meaning was critical.  But what is it's meaning?

Luke's account of these very same words of Yeshua tells us.  Luke quotes Yeshua, "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near."  From Luke's account, the abomination is when armies surround Jerusalem.  When you see the armies you had better flee because Jerusalem's desolation is near.  The armies cause the desolation.  They destroy the city, it's people, and the temple.

Lets say someone were to tell 3 people a story, and the story was very important to them so they made sure they remembered it.  Many years later they each figured they had better write down the story so that it would be on record for others to enjoy.  Do you think the words of each separately written story will be EXACTLY the same?  Of course not.  Each writer will convey the story as they remember it, and according to how each part of the story impacted upon them.  We have the same situation with the Olivet Discourse.  Although these 3 writers also had the Hand of God guiding what they are writing, which gives even more impact to the differences in these accounts.  The differences are there for a purpose.  In this case a likely dual fulfillment.

Clearly the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD was a fulfillment of the phrase "Abomination of Desolation", as explained by Yeshua Himself though the accounts of his disciples Matthew, Mark and Luke.  But the context of Daniel also places this event at the time of the Beast at the end of the age.

If we consider the Antiochus Epiphanes event, the 70 AD event, and the words of Yeshua quoted by Matthew, Mark and Luke, what can we conclude?  Essentially man, through his beastly empires as prophesied by Daniel, dares to bring his armies against the land of the Covenant between God and His people.  As if to say His Covenant is now null and void.  They are going to take away the land, plunder it, and declare it theirs; spitting in God's eye.  Sounds a lot like our time doesn't it?  Only this time it may be Israel's own military forcing an abandonment of the land.  And/or when the Beast appears on the scene, he would bring armies against Israel and Jerusalem, just as Antiochus Epiphanes and Titus did before him.

Based upon all the indicators pointing to 2005, I currently think it is the likeliest of the 7 count pattern years, which may usher in the last 3 1/2 years of the end of the age.  Is the count pattern the way in which the counts will be fulfilled in time?  I don't know.  The pattern appears scripturally plausible IMHO.  What about all these heavenly signs?  Perhaps they are coincidence.  I don't know.  But one cannot help but take notice of them and their connection to the events happening on our world.  I know I'm not flowing with all the conventional prophetic wisdom out there.  But can you simply ignore all this apparent evidence and call me a quack?

We'll all just have to wait and see.  I'll adjust my understanding as events on the ground or the leading of our Lord dictates, always searching the scriptures to ensure what I think I see or hear is revealed there.  I hope that all of you do the same.

2 Peter 3:14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; 15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation--as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures. 17 You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. [NKJV]
