To John and All:

The Zephaniah/Gaza warning is the among the latest and possibly the last warnings.  Some who watch and warn have been led by the Lord to desist from warning any longer.  A brief history of some of the most recent warnings is helpful here.

Sept. 11/01 stands as the continental divide between awake and true north american watchmen (and ladies) and those who are not.  Some knew ahead of time, some more accurately than others.  Speaking of the day of the Lord and the signs leading up to it, Isaiah 30:25 "in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall."

Another sign that some were told to watch occurred on the temple mount in Jerusalem (it does not become much more central than that).  The bulge in the temple wall that busted out in Sept of 2003 was a sign for the season of the "suddenlies"(a word that many heard was "suddenly").  Isaiah 30:13 "...like a breach ready to fall, a bulge in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant...".

The Lord led me to notice a pattern which I wrote in an article called, "An Emerging Pattern?" in April of 2004.  The Lord had given the Russian Christians about a 20 year warning before Communism obliterated their ranks at the turn of the Last century.  A book by David Wilkerson entitled "Set the Trumpet to thy Mouth" written in 1985 gave a clear and distinct warning to Christians.  As a sign following the word,  the oilfields in the middle east went up in flame and smoke during the first Persian gulf war, around 1992, which David had mentioned in his book.  2004-1985 was 19 years and the warning that time was almost up.

In October of last year, as the Lord led me to write a friend later, "The "bell has tolled" (borrowing a phrase from someone who I believe heard the same thing) on our civilization, secular and spiritual.  The final call is being sent forth in the spiritual as the books are about to be closed, the door on the Ark is about to be shut and sealed (Hebrews - few of Israel entered God's rest, they are an example to us),  the final marking of the Lords saints who are found worthy (Lk 21:36) is occurring, and the harvest of unrightousness and rightousness is about to occur in this world.

Keeping these things in mind and how the world will be cleansed by fire should we walk in the power of His Holy Spirit every day."

And now the warning of gaza and Zephaniah. As Traci aptly summarized, "Seek Him through a close and intimate relationship with Him. Truly know Him as the Father He is to the righteous in Christ Jesus. (Zeph. 2:3) Be meek and humble in heart and die to selfish desires. (Zeph. 2:3b) Simply stand, and wait on the Lord to carry out His restoration of righteousness through justice, and be sure that you are among the righteous. (Zeph. 3:8) Pray and intercede for the elect of God continuously."
