2005 YEAR OF THE RAPTURE

The Lord our God has not been very generous with me, his bondservant, as far as dreams are concerned.  So when I do get a significant dream, I take note.  In the last week, I have had two related dreams, each one with a tiny baby boy (manchild?), both my son and I in the same week having dreams (unknown to each other until afterward) about “trumpets”,  and a very clear reference to the number “40”, with some other fine details I will not belabor unto you at this time.    These seemed to me to be a place our Lord would have me to investigate in the scriptures, related to His near appearing.   So this is my best shot at this, and I beg your patience, and ask for your input so that we all in His body may learn something here…………..

We know from a study of scripture, and types and shadows of the Old Testament, that the church will be given 40 jubilee years, as from Adam to Abraham were 40 jubilees (2000 years), and from Abraham to Messiah our Lord were 40 jubilees (2000 years), so likewise will the church age be 40 jubilees (2000 years) , fulfilling God’s 120 years (three 40-jubilee grand cycles)  that His spirit will wrestle with the likes of us in that we are flesh, and not really quite what He intended us to be quite yet……………. Hosea also speaks of these 2000 years as days when Israel will be smitten, but afterward raised to live in His sight.

So my focus here is with “trumpets”, and the “manchild” (whether this be Israel or the church or both I won’t even go there now), and with the number “forty”. Alright, I will admit that in the dream a great big deal was made that I looked terrible for being “forty” years old, so much so that I rushed to the mirror as soon as I awoke from this particular dream……….God really does have a sense of humor, and no, I am not forty years old; hence, the mystery delivered to me in this way, about my hideous appearance. Oh, well let us proceed……

I look at all of the Lord’s feasts as being potential times when He may come to redeem us (according to Him, my being old and feeble and ugly, only makes this issue all the more important to me !)

Being directed by my son’s dream of a trumpet, and my own dream of trumpets, I looked at the feasts which include trumpets, and we know, of course, about the Feast of Trumpets, heralding in the Tabernacle feasts of Atonement and Tabernacles.  The infant boys in both of my dreams lead me to think of the manchld’s rapture as in Revelation 12.   And the reference to the number 40 directs me to a couple of things of interest.

But first, these 40 jubilees of the church, just when did they “start”???   At His birth?  His resurrection?  His ascension?   Pentecost?   So here I did a study and came up with something very interesting.  Our Lord declared the day Himself, when, after being baptized by John the Baptist and being harassed by the devil in the desert for 40 days (there’s that number of testing again), that He then meandered around for some time before ending up in the Temple back at Nazareth, and quoting Isaiah 61.   Here is that quote:  from Luke:

Luke 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. 22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth.

It can be seen from the above quote that Jesus was proclaiming the acceptable year of the grand jubilee right then and there “this day”.

At the celebration of the jubilee (the 50th year of the cycle), all debts were forgiven, slaves were returned to their homes and property, and folks in prison were released.   He ceased to read when the passage came to “and the day of vengeance of our Lord”, because had the Jews accepted Him, and their jubilee, they could have had the Kingdom right then and there, but, duh, no cigar.

Now, on to just “when” did He say this? If we could find out when He said this then we could find out where we are in the grand scale of jubilees of the ages.   I have done extensive searching on the day of His birth, and the years of His ministry, and the year of His crucifixion, etc., and without arguing or haggling (you may all re-figure this with your own numbers and get back with it), I am just going to go ahead with where I am led at this point.  Which may be off a hair or two here or there.    Starting with a quote:

“Luke also dates Jesus' baptism in the fifteenth year of Tiberius Caesar. The approach taken here is that Luke continued to date by his Syro-Macedonian calendar. This places the fifteenth year of Tiberius from October 20, 27 to October 9, 28 CE. This fits with the arrival of Pontius Pilate by the fall of 27, with an earliest first Passover still in 28.”

I think perhaps He was baptized in the spring/summer of 28 AD. Then went into the desert for 40 days to be tested by you-know-who.   Perhaps this is the 40 days we count to His ascension, from His resurrection, after which He instructed the deciples to wait for the “Power from on high..”, that is, the Holy Spirit, given at Pentecost.  The church is likewise tested for 40 jubilees (2000 years).

Luke 4:13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

So there, the devil left Him alone for a season.   So that takes Him further into the summer and/or fall.   And as I said He meandered about abit before getting to Nazareth.

Luke 4:14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. 15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. 16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up.

So He gets right going in the power of the Spirit.  (Like the deciples did after Pentecost).

When He reached Nazareth, he stood in the temple, and quoted Isaiah 61:

Luke 4:..and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,  (above quoted)

Now, if He said “this day” was the passage fulfilled (jubilee), then what day was this fulfilled?  Having in mind that the year was 28 AD, and that His ministry started as in Luke 4 “when He began to be about 30 years old…), then we have to look at when He was born, so that we can see when He “began” to be about 30 years old.   In many searches I have concluded that the year He was born and the date of His birth was September 26, 2 BC.   He was born in the fall, which is why the shepherds were out in the field by night.  Not in December as the tradition came to be (by men).  Mary and Joseph couldn’t find a place to stay in the inns because so many people were in Jerusalem, beginning the fall feasts of Tabernacles, starting with the Feast of Trumpets, which is when He was born.    Anyway, not to niggle about this, but move on……..

So if He began to be about 30 years old in the year 28 AD late in the year (fall), is there a particular feast which is of interest here?  And was there a trumpet involved?   So you’re thinking about the Feast of Trumpets right away, but wait, in Leviticus, read:

Leviticus 25: 8 And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years. 9 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land. 10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family. 11 A jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed. 12 For it is the jubile; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field. 13 In the year of this jubile ye shall return every man unto his possession. 14 And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour's hand, ye shall not oppress one another: 15 According to the number of years after the jubile thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, and according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee: 16 According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for according to the number of the years of the fruits doth he sell unto thee. 17 Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the LORD your God.

Sooooooooooooooo,  it must have been on the Day of Atonement, that Jesus stood in the temple to “declare” the jubilee, as He said “this day is this fulfilled” etc.   And here is a trumpet to herald this important thing.   And this was the year of 28 AD.

Many of you are much, much better at numbers and such than I am, but I will give this my best shot.   If Jesus declared the grand jubilee (from Abraham to Himself – 2000 years), on the Day of Attonement in 28 AD, then  where are we now?

I have absolutely no idea when the Day of Attonement fell in 28 AD, nor can I strain at trying to figure it out, but since these fall feasts fall sometime from Mid-September until early October, let us just say for the fun of it, and because I need SOME kind of date, that it fell on September 30 of that year.    And let us calculate it until this year’s feast of Pentecost (which date is disputed at this time being either May 15 or June 14, and I can’t get into that either.   To the May 15 date, from September 30, 28 AD until May 15, 2005 is 721.948 days.  If we divide that number of days by our calendar of 365.25 we come to 1976.59.  But if we divide it by God’s calendar of 360 days, we get  2005.41.    Which could be wrong by a few days either side but nonetheless gives us the year of 2005.    AND if we divide the number 2005.41 by 50 (jubilee years), we come to 40.10.   So, we are just over the hump, it would appear, and just into the days following the closing of our grand jubilee cycle.

Where the “manchild” of my two dreams fits in, only the Lord knows, but to me it is suggestive of the rapture or some other momentous event that God and His Son,  who is all good, all glorious, all-powerful, and magnificent in all of His ways may be about to surprise us with this very year.

All blessings in abundance to all of you,,,,,
