There are many calendar reckonings for Pentecost in 2019: Torah, Hillel, Church (Roman Catholic and Protestant), and Eastern Orthodox. When are all complete in 2019? They are fully come as of 6-15 to 17 on the Eastern Orthodox Calendar. As Israel goes to sunset on 6-17 on the conclusion of the Eastern Orthodox Calendar, all Pentecost Calendar Dates are complete. Everyone will have been given opportunities to participate. Pentecost is fully come.

   What about Pentecost the weekend of 6-8 to 10 on the Church Calendar for Roman Catholics and Protestants? At Iowa in the heartland of the U.S.A. most of the candidates for the Democratic Party Nomination will visit. Plenty of photo opportunities. What will the talk be about? Pentecost? Other things. What will be underscored? Iowa support for abortion rights and Iowa gay rights in a Iowa gay rights celebration weekend. All over Iowa will be Pentecost services with Holy Communion. However. It seems that Pentecost in Iowa will be UPSTAGED by discussion about abortion rights and gay rights. What would earlier Democratic Party leaders think of what has happened to the beliefs and values of their beloved party? Would Harry Truman and Shirley Chisholm be amazed?

   Will the discussions and events at Iowa this weekend create a 7 day heads up? Pentecost is much about the indwelling of the Spirit of Truth. What are beliefs and values of the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete? Unlimited abortion rights and the legalization of "weed" for the good of all? Who could argue THAT? Will there be the upstaging of Pentecost at Iowa in 2019? Will there be 7 days more before Pentecost is "fully come" in 2019? We shall know soon, "Summer is near, even at the gates."
