The falling away...apostisia... mentioned by the Apostle Paul.  I believe we are seeing this play out right before our eyes.  The Methodists condemning Israel.  The Vatican lining themselves with Palastinians.  Episcopalians with gay clergy.  The Catholic Church turning a blind eye to the pedophile issues within the churches.  I'm sure there are other such heresies underway that I am not recalling at this moment.
 
Apostisia may have other meanings and I don't discount that, but it seems history is revealing the long asserted view that many in the church would fall away fro sound doctrine.  Again, this is happening right before our eyes.
