I need to add that I believe that we all will participate in our rapture when it does occur, because of the types given in scripture. The promised land was before Israel and God commanded them to go in and possess it, but they refused due to fear and unbelief. God did not pick them up and carry them in by force. The command will go forth to us in like manner, behold the Bridegroom, go ye out to meet Him. To them who look for Him, will He appear and we must be ready to go meet Him under conditions of peace. If we are unprepared to meet Him, or if we are afraid to go or unbelieving for whatever reason, and we stay back, we are then just like Israel and will not enter into His rest but will then die in the wilderness of this world but also must face the test of the mark as well. In short, I do not believe in nor do I see anywhere in scripture a mention of our rapture as being like a sudden disappearing with no participation on our part. The "one taken and another left" thing I do not believe is our rapture but rather the gathering by unclean spirits like frogs to the battle of Armageddon. That horizontal rapture does not involve the choice of the raptured ones. Ours does involve choice. That other rapture is a sudden disappearing with one taken and one left, while ours is Jesus coming down from the clouds and we see Him just as the disciples saw Him go. It is not finished suddenly though it will begin suddenly and the five foolish will begin to ask for oil (knowledge of or from the Holy Spirit) of the wise who turn them down and use their own oil for themselves to get in because it will take all of your knowledge to come to grips with this event. No ability to fill someone else in right then but just enough to say, "Go read this in your Bible and you will see what it is..." Which is like saying, "go to them that sell and buy for yourself oil or knowledge or light giving substance..." Then by the time they see it and understand, the door will have closed and it will be too late for them.It has been a while since I have said these things here so I thought I'd do so again.
