Loni,Thank you for posting this. How timely for me because I have just been looking at this in light of what Steve Quayle and David Flynn are saying as posted here recently via a link to their radio talks. Quayle mentioned that there is a very deep expose on Don McLean's song "American Pie" by a guy named Roy Taylor, which I searched for and found here: http://www.roytaylorministries.com/am01182.htmTaylor begins by quoting from Washington's vision for America and then from Deuteronomy 31 and says that this song is a prophecy for America and is about to be fulfilled. Both David Flynn and Steve Quayle believe that there will be no rapture until 2012 but I believe that there will indeed be a rapture first for those who look for Him and are ready and willing to go when the invitation is given. (Behold the Bridegroom, go ye out to meet Him is like Behold the Promised Land, go ye in and posses it. It is an invitation that can either be acted upon or rejected.) I believe that God is using men like Flynn and Quayle to prepare His people that will not go in the rapture but in no way does their opinion sway me from my blessed hope. Quayle apparently plans to go "mobile" and keep moving in a matter of days because he fears their GPS ability to strike at targets like his house etc. Once this hits he figures that he must hide and be able to elude them to survive. Well, all the best to him but I'll fly away, thank you. While being exceedingly long and somewhat redundant, what I have seen of the American Pie stuff is quite interesting indeed. I do believe that it is what this person claims, a very important song. I wish there could be a more succinct telling of the main points of the prophetic aspects of the song instead of the long winded details of every point. Maybe there is something like that out there since this is from the mid 1980s and I have only begun to look at it.Bye bye Miss American Pie...Barry Amundsen
