"re:  WATCH FOR A FEW MORE DAYS...!!!???"

Hello John and abundant blessings to all of you Doves,,,,,here is a "just in case" HEADS UP, I attempted to study out last night................attached document,,,,
love to you all,,,,,,,,,,,Arlene

Brothers and Sisters,,,,don't slam this right away, but THINK ABOUT IT.   Be vigilant over the next few days.  The anniversary of the taking of Jerusalem is June 6-7,,which takes us into the 42nd year.....add seven and you are at 49 years, the year before the jubilee.  But, that is not the subject here, rather, I carefully read Acts 1 and Acts 2 last night, and perhaps because of my never-give-up mindset, believe there are a couple of things to consider.  And at the very least some questions come to me that have only one logical answer / conclusion……..

 In Acts 1, first.
The Lord was taken up after which He through the "Holy Ghost" HAD GIVEN COMMANDMENTS UNTO THE APOSTLES HE HAD CHOSEN.
Don't go away yet....and consider:   Could the Lord have ascended on Pentecost? It is so ingrained in us to think the ascension took place ten days before Pentecost, but is that so?   It says He was seen by them and instructed forty days,,but that does not mean that He had to ascend directly after those forty days.   At Sinai, the Lord "gave commandments" at the first Pentecost.  Here the Lord "gave commandments".   But there is more.   On that day, the Lord,,,,"AND, BEING ASSEMBLED TOGETHER WITH WITH THEM, COMMANDED THEM THAT THEY SHOULD NOT DEPART FROM JERUSALEM, BUT WAIT FOR THE PROMISE OF THE FATHER,,,,,,,,,FOR YE SHALL BE BAPTIZED WITH THE HOLY GHOST NOT MANY DAYS HENCE.
Read the above.   Pentecost is the day of assembly, and the Lord was assembled with the deciples the day He ascended.   He gave commandments, like the first Pentecost.  But, wait,,,,He tells them that they should not DEPART from Jerusalem, but WAIT,,,,for "NOT MANY DAYS HENCE"......look at this carefully.   Why would they depart from Jerusalem if Pentecost was ten days away?   He tells them rather to WAIT FOR A FEW MORE DAYS,,,,,,

IF, IF, IF, the Lord ascended on Pentecost, then naturally they would have "departed" Jerusalem, for the feast would be OVER.    Think about this.  He tells them not to DEPART !!!  (If ten days earlier, why would He have to tell them not to depart?..obviously they would not do so, for Pentecost would be coming up)
Now, then,,,,He tells them not to depart, and that NOT MANY DAYS HENCE, they will be baptized with the Holy Ghost.   Not many days hence could mean under a week.  In other words,,,DON'T DEPART THE FEAST, BUT WAIT A FEW DAYS !!!
In verse 9, we have the "cloud received Him out of their sight".....this also happened at Sinai Pentecost, when Moses went up "into the cloud of the mountain".....
I AM THINKING COULD THE LORD HAVE ASCENDED ON PENTECOST ???!!!
But wait there is more......THEN THEY RETURNED UNTO JERUSALEM FROM THE MOUNT....WHICH IS FROM JERUSALEM A SABBATH DAY'S JOURNEY..
Why would they have to observe the Sabbath travel law ten days before Pentecost?  (not a Sabbath day…) But THEY WOULD HAVE HAD TO DO SO ON PENTECOST ITSELF !!!   So, they go and gather together in the upper room and WAIT FOR A FEW DAYS, NOT DEPARTING JERUSALEM AS THEY HAD A RIGHT TO DO SO AFTER THE FEAST,,,and take care of some business in "those days" of waiting.
        NOW, ACTS 2
AND WHEN THE DAY OF PENTECOST WAS FULLY COME.   This "fully come",,,what does that mean?    Does it mean "completed",,,,having been done and past?   Here it says the day was completed, and they were all with one accord in one place, then the Holy Ghost comes upon them.

Strong’s Number 4845:

to complete entirely, be fulfilled: of time

From the root 4134:

to make full, to fill up, i.e. to fill to the full

to cause to abound, to furnish or supply liberally

I abound, I am liberally supplied

to render full, i.e. to complete

to fill to the top: so that nothing shall be wanting to full measure, fill to the brim

to consummate: a number

to make complete in every particular, to render perfect

to carry through to the end, to accomplish, carry out, (some undertaking)

to carry into effect, bring to realisation, realise

of matters of duty: to perform, execute

of sayings, promises, prophecies, to bring to pass, ratify, accomplish

to fulfil, i.e. to cause God's will (as made known in the law) to be obeyed as it should be, and God's promises (given through the prophets) to receive fulfilment

Could this mean that Pentecost had ALREADY been fulfilled / completed?
Next in verse 5, it talks about "devout" Jews "dwelling" in Jerusalem out of every nation.   I have read before that the "DEVOUT" Jews would stay on in Jerusalem for a whole week, and would attend to purifications / other ceremonies, etc.,,,and here the news of this event was "noised abroad",,,and these "devout" men came together after hearing this.......the passage says that they “dwelled” in Jerusalem,,,in other words, stayed on after Pentecost…….wait,,,if it was the morning of "Pentecost", they would have ALREADY BEEN GATHERED TOGETHER AT THE TEMPLE.......but here, they are scattered around Jerusalem, and they "came together"....the rumor was “noised abroad” and they heard it and gathered there.
Just sayin',,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,there could be more to this Acts 1 and Acts 2 story than just on the surface,,,so perhaps we should continue to be "gathered together", and waiting for these "not many days hence",,,,,,,,?????  Just in case?????

                     Love from your sister,,,,,,,,,,,,,Arlene

addendum:

Also, could this explain this?   this verse has always perplexed me:

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

I wonder what this means,,,,,could it mean that back then during Paul's time, the Brethren would "assemble together" for these additional days AFTER PENTECOST??  Apparently, the "manner of some" would be to "forsake" this gathering together (perhaps to leave after Pentecost was over) ....but Paul says to see to this "assembling of ourselves together" SO MUCH THE MORE, as we see the day APPROACHING......
