"Grace"

The grace of God toward us is not a subject one can talk about if we have

not understood it was all His grace toward us that brought us salvation, that

loves us, that keeps us, that forgave and forgives us. When we do understand

the fullness of that grace, then we will be able to have and show grace to others.

We will see their need instead of their faults. Instead of hoping to find something

about a person to criticize, we will look for the things we can give grace toward.

We will want to pray for one who is in need of receiving  God's grace....and
for greater understanding of that grace and help to give extend grace to others
When one slips and falls into sin, we will want to show grace. It will

come automatically when we have love in our hearts toward our brothers and

sisters. Instead of hoping to find some fault or sin, we will pray for that person

to experience God's grace and turn away from that sin in repentence. We will

rejoice when that person returns to the Lord. We will not want to gossip about

our family members when we love them. That grace that is poured out on us,

will be poured out on others. It is an automatic thing to do.

I know that at one time or another, we may have even held sins committed by

persons even before they were born again or perhaps when they were a newborn

babe in Christ. Yet, we are so overjoyed that our own sins are forgiven and
are removed as far as east is from west.
If God's grace is sufficient for us, then isn't it sufficient for our brothers and

sisters? We know that our righteousness is in Him. It is not our own. We know that,

yet we are seeing such incredible hardness of hearts toward some who are

even judgled by appearances. Don't we know that God looks on the hearts of man?

We know that we grow toward maturity by the grace of God. How is it that we do not

want others to have that same grace?

Grace of God is more than just "unmerited favor" , although it is that too. We,

as believers in Christ, experience His grace every minute of everyday. Surely we

have been freely given, and we can freely give......even grace.

Our prayers to the Father for others warms His heart. When we do that, we are

getting "on God's side". My earthly father use to say to us "Lets all get on God's

side and let us pray for Brother Jones and God will answer our prayers. It's His

will and pleasure. That's what we can do to help...we pray....He answers."
