"Re: Sabbath Rest, Tabernacles and Rosh Hoshanah"

A while back I wrote "Sabbath Rest, Rosh Hoshannah & Tabernacles" (see below link).  There was some discussion back then as to whether the Feast of Tabernacles could be the time of the catching up of the Rapture.

According to Clarence Larkins', "Dispensational Truth" book written in 1917, there is some significance to Feast of Tabernacles and the rapture:

Note "A" The Mountain Peaks of Prophecy Chart, "Dispensational Truth" :

"At the "Feast of Tabernacles" 2 silver trumpets were used to summon the people, Numbers 10:1-10, Lev. 23:24.  So a trumpet shall be used to summon the "Saints" at the "Rapture", and the "Elect of Israel" at the "Revelation".  As Jesus was crucified on the date of the "Passover Feast" and the Holy Spirit was given at the "Feast of Pentecost", it is probable that the "Rapture" will occur on the date of the "Feast of Tabernacles", and 7 years later on the same date the "Elect of Israel" be summoned."

According to Daniel 9:27, the peace treaty is confirmed for seven 360 day Jewish or prophetic years; this adds up to 2520 days.  This time period is taken to be the time of the Tribulation, as well as the time of the Christian Believer's "Sabbath Rest" after being caught up in the Rapture by Christ.

Daniel 9:27 (New King James Version)
New King James Version (NKJV)

27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
      But in the middle of the week
      He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
      And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
      Even until the consummation, which is determined,
      Is poured out on the desolate.”

I have checked the series of years 2008 - 2015 at www.hebcal.com and www.timeanddate.com to see how common a 2520-day gap is between the end of Tabernacles and a future Rosh Hoshanah.  This year is the only year through 2015 where there is exactly 2520 days between the last day of Succoth (Feast of Tabernacles) and Rosh Hoshanah seven years later.

2011 and 2014 are the only other years that come close to the 2520 days (seven prophetic or Jewish year number, 7 x 360).  Their seven-year gap numbers 2518 and 2519 days, respectively.
