"Reflections on the Times of Noah: Pairs, Rain, Floods"

Dear John and all doves,
We are in a week between what seem to be two choices for Pentecost, by a Scriptural reckoning. One was last weekend and the other is the coming weekend. Two days ahead seem to have special significance from a spiritual point of view. One is 6-16 for California. According to a recent doves posting this will be the day when pairs or couples, homosexual or lesbian, will be able to apply for marriage licenses throughout California. In the times of Noah were there alternative marriages? According to another recent posting, there were. We tend to think of the family Noah as a family of 8. They were also 4 pairs or couples who were heterosexuals and married. Noah and his wife were married and sons 1-3 were each married. Were there any homosexual or lesbian pairs or couples in the story in the book of Genesis? There were none. Perhaps we are to think about pairs of  married people as well as the pairs of animals and birds. According to the story the Messiah remarked upon, they are saved and the others perish. There is a separation of great consequence between those who will live or die in the story of that family.
The other significant day will be the eve of the anniversary of the giving over of the Temple Mount on 6-17-1967. As Israel goes to evening and sunset of 6-16, she goes to the 41st stripe. This is the conclusion of the period from 6-6 to 6-17 in 1967. It can be argued that is when the sign of the fig tree ends the last 40 years of testing and trial.
The sign of the rainbow is a reminder that there is a divine promise that the whole world will never again be flooded. The center of America, the breadbasket of America and the world, has had tremendous rain and flooding since last weekend. Is this a one week warning of something momentous on the horizon? The world already has crisis with problems with grain. How bad is it when one third or more of Iowa and Indiana have major problems with rain and flooding? How will this affect the crops of grains? We are on the verge of more rain for these already beleagured areas. These people and places need our prayers so very much.
The events related to 6-16 and 6-17 may mean much more to Abba Father and His Christ/Messiah than they appear to us. Time will tell what significance they may have. Bless you as we watch and pray.

With Love and Shalom,
Jean Stepnoski
