"Responding to Mike Harrington at the cemetery"

Mike Harrington, thanks for your photos at the cemetery.

I also have been at the cemetery.

Hoping to see the saints blast out and up.

I don’t share it often, for it upsets most folks.

But I know I can share with my Dove friends.

It is an exhilarating time.  It is acting out the words we often say at burial:

“I’ll see you again soon.”

If soon, then why not on the way up?

If the disciples had really been thinking and “in faith” they could have witnessed the stone rolled away.  They could have counted 3 nights and 3 days.

We have the accounts as examples for us, so why not “see them sooner than later…”

The graves will open up…and if we know when….why not witness it?

I have been there 3 times this spring.  Not often enough, because there have been times missed that I really wanted to be there.
But I think you will understand that going to my grandson’s Kindergarten graduation is 1st over the cemetery.
I have had interviews at the “wrong” time, but chose to do the “right” thing.
I have cleaned the church property with Christian brothers.  Difficult, but right.

Now for the times I was able to go, they have been awesome.
One time, the gale force winds and snow showers did not quench the Spirit.
It spoke to me of the presence of the Holy Spirit in power.
Another time a gold finch (Iowa State bird) hopped to within 4 feet of my car window.  I snapped his photo.
It spoke to me of my roots witnessing my presence.  My roots are in Iowa.
Another time a dove landed on a nearby stone with a gabled-peak top.  He landed on the corner and then marched to the center top as if drawing special attention and focus.  I snapped his photo.  It spoke to me that heaven is witnessing.

I am still hopeful that someday soon I will be there to see a dear friend open the ground.
