Hi gang ~ doing some searching, but thought I'd ask you all   [and please make your explanation VERY simple!    :)

 

What is the DIFFERENCE between First Fruits & Pentecost?     Does one happen before the other?  

I realize that First Fruits is a "part" of Pentecost, right?

 

Like Rene, I've seen tons of different DATES for Pentecost for this year -- and when I googled info on it, I got that it already happened on May 11th!!   And then I found more info that for "Orthodox Christians" [what's that??  Always heard of Orthodox Jews, but not of Orthodox Christians....]  Pentecost is June 15th.

 

I know many have pointed to June 7-8th as Pentecost, but I'm not finding that any where on any calendar, except it being mentioned here at Doves.

 

Thanks for making it VERY CLEAR to me the difference bet. First Fruits & Pentecost!! ~ remember:  SIMPLE explanation!!   [pretend you're talking to a 2nd grader!!    ;)
