"Help for the Weary and Sorrowful ..."

Dear John and Doves,

My Israeli friend, Avi Levy, urgently needs your prayers ...

His beloved wife of 10 years died last year of cancer leaving him and
his two sons, Yonaton (5) and Ariel (8), bereaved and forlorn.

Avi is still so depressed that he is unable to find a solution to all
his problems from the grief that bears down on him.  He can see no way
out of his problems.  He has had to take many days off work to tend to
his children's needs (psychological and otherwise), so that he is
falling behind financially. He himself took three months off recently
due to a broken hand, but the insurance company is refusing to pay him
for the missed work time. Normally an atheletic type of man, Avi is
having his own health problems due to lack of sleep (from worrying) and
not eating correctly.

He is open to the Lord Yeshua.  I've told him that sometimes life's
problems cannot be solved in our own power, but we must turn to G-d. He
was open to praying about the dilemma he finds himself in-- where he
feels that all doors have closed for him, and all he can see is
darkness.

Please, please pray as the Lord would lead you.  He really needs a ray
of hope right now and a new direction and opportunity. Mostly, he needs
to accept the Lord Yeshua, so that He can receive power from on high to
overcome all that is beset against him.

May the Lord Jesus richly bless each of you that pray for Avi, Ariel and
Yonaton ... thank you for your caring, compassion and love.

Shalom ...

P.S.  His mother is tearful every day and says she is just waiting to
die.  Besides Avi's wife dying, her other son, Moshe (in his 40's), died
around the same time.  Please pray for her too.
