So, let me get this right - Tony Blair just resigned from being Prime Minister of Great Britain after visiting the pope and possibly becoming a Catholic will now move to Jerusalem as the envoy for the quartet, Europe, UN, US and Russia.
 
By any standards this string of events is breathtaking.
