Dear Doves, Please pray for the family and friends of Kelsey Smith, the 18 year old girl from Overland Park, KS who went missing Saturday night and was found murdered yesterday.  I have been in tears over this and in prayer for her (prior to being found) and her family.  She lived 2 blocks away from my daughter and her family, was a friend of my granddaughters and they were all out searching the woods until 9pm the night before she was found.  Also, my son works at the store where she disappeared, and naturally the employees who remember seeing her are absolutely sick about this.  My son remembered seeing her because he remembered her from his sophmore year in school.
 
This tragedy has affected our entire county.  The quick and thorough searching and volunteerism door to door, the candlelight vigils has been an amazing testament to this lovely and vibrant young woman. Please pray for this family and Kelsey's friends as they face the grief of this senseless murder and their great loss.  They are living everyone's worst nightmare, and will certainly need the covering and comfort of God's Holy Spirit, especially once the shock wears off.
 
Please pray also for the wife and child of the accused young man.  Their lives have also been horribly altered and they are also his victims. Their lives will never be the same again either.  God would also have us pray for this confused man who killed Kelsey.  Please do as the Lord leads; I'm just not there yet...
 
May Gods grace and love overshadow and overcome this horrible tragedy with so many affected in our community.
