Dear friends:

The Senate shamnesty bill has failed and they now say there may be no more further action until 2008 or 2009.  So what do we do now?

I have a revolutionary idea to actually solve the illegal immigration problem! No joke.  Amazingly, the solution has previously been approved by both the Congress and the President.

It is so logical, easy -- and totally lawful.

Here it is: ENFORCE IMMIGRATION LAW PRESENTLY ON THE BOOKS!

Ta-dum!  Wow!  Profound!  How could everyone have missed it?

The President is the Chief Executive.  It is his job to enforce the law.  If he does not enforce the law, he is guilty of dereliction of duty.

He has both the authority and ability -- and moral obligation -- to close the border and enforce the law.  So far he has refused.  By so doing, it is my opinion that he has broken the law himself.

As to those 12-20 million illegals who are already here, it is not necessary to "round them up" and send them back.  Solution: Just cut off their illegal benefits paid for by U.S. taxpayers, and they will set speed records going back home.  Mexico would have to build a wall to stop them.

This revolutionary plan to save America will henceforth be referred to as the "Bramlett Plan."  But feel free to share it.
