Doug,Please be assured of our prayers for your friend on Thursday. Conan Doyle once said ,
" God writes straight with crooked lines" , meaning He can bring good out of any situation
May all go well at your friend's hearing.
And it also says in Proverbs that when we try to do right, it makes even our enemies to be at peace with us. Hopefully those words will help.May God bless you both for the guitar-work you are doing. It certainly must be a labor of love.
We are also praying for your friend Jim who will be operated on soon for his stomach. We pray that God will give the doctors wisdom and skill and that the operation be highly successful. May your friend have God's peace--which surpasses all understanding-- in this matter.

And Pineman,Having been raised a Catholic, I understand your feelings about Roman influence in the church. I still attend some Catholic ceremonies ( socially ) and realize that there is enough of Jesus Christ in their religion to be saved. ( Some are charismatic). Many Catholics serve their neighbor well and contribute to charities both in finances and in service.
So I greatly respect them in that regard.A mass is merely a remembrance of the sacrifice Jesus paid on the cross, and if you read Ezekiel 41- 46, all of those chapters explain how sacrifice will be reinstituted during the Millennium for the praise of God and in memory of Christ's atoning sacrifice. It is good to call into remembrance the price Jesus paid.
" Do this in remembrance of Me ".
Hopes that helps.
In Him,
Jim and Angela Goodrick
