"Divine encounters may require willing heart"

Just a thought re Jim's divine encounter post.

I recall being at a stop light on my way to work, in a hurry as usual and hoping not to get caught in traffic. I thought, what if my car breaks down right now. I would be angry. Then I thought, if I realy trusted God that it would be Ok. But then I thought, if I had my choice I would rather not have a break down, so I prayed that God would keep my old car running. Seems to me that God certainly tests us with these things to check our hearts out, how mature we are willing to become.

Jim and his wife seemed to have passed the test quite well. Certainly there are other experiences to be had along the way at many different levels. It takes a willing heart to go on to maturaty with God. If we are willing God will bring us divine encounters. And even if we are not willing he will send some our way anyway, just to wake us up.
