The weather in these two states has been very unusual.  We live on a hill, sort of, so the water runs off - normally.  Yesterday I about sank up to my ankles when I went out to check the rain gauge!
 
One day this week, we had 3.4 inches in the rain gauge.  Yesterday, my husband said we had 1.5 inches.  I have not checked it tonight but it poured here.  We have had almost a month of daily rainfall.  This in the land of the dust bowl!!!
 
I heard someone say today that we have not had this much rain since the Drought broke in 1937!!  The mosquitos don't seem to be liking the weather much.  They have not been as bad in the last few days.
