Hey Jim,

It seems to me that the Lord is so weakening Israel through
inept leaders that he is making them ripe to be perfectly dependent upon
him when they are surrounded by her enemies. When God utterly destroys the
invading Gog/Magog hoards Israel will know that it was God's doing and not
their own. In order to do that, Israel must be in a place of weakness,
which is what we see at this moment. Again, this is how I seem to see this
playing out.
