You had asked me to let you know what was going on with Jason. Well he had a court appearance this afternoon as part of Drug Treatment Court. Because he was in non-compliance by getting high on the Xanax while in my custody, they sent him back to jail. He had just gotten out last Thursday after spending a week on suicide watch until the night before he was released, at which time they put him in cell block C with twenty some hardened criminals who beat him and tried unsuccessfully to rape him.
He's back in the same cell now for possibly a month until a vacant bed becomes available at the drug and alcohol recovery treatment which is part of the correctional system that I told you about yesterday. Jason is totally unprepared for what is facing him in this county jail. He has an addiction to prescription pain pills / tranquilizers but he is not a criminal, and he does not defend himself well, he is a very meek person, quiet, reserved and polite and these inmates just want to kill him - or worse.
Please, please get this prayer request out to as many as possible ~ pray to Abba Father for Jason's protection, I have been praying Psalms
86, 88 and 91 over him all afternoon. I am going to call his attorney first thing tomorrow to see if they will move him to the county work farm where at least he'll be with non-violent offenders and able to get out and work on the farm during the day instead of being caged like an animal. Pray that God grant me success and favor in getting him moved to a safer environment. And last but absolutely not least pray that the demons of this drug addiction be bound from Jason and that God would release healing and wholeness to Jason.
