"Re Chris Smith's question about the dead rising after Jesus' Resurrection"

I recall an incredible book researched by two scholars in Utah
written in the 90's in which they reasoned, "Why isn't there evidence in
the media of the day of such earth-shaking events as reported in the New
Testament?"

I heard them interviewed on radio and bought the book which I lent
out and have not seen or heard of since (this is NOT a book that you
should lend to anyone---you will never see it again).

Turns out there were, as they discovered in Vatican library vault
archives.

They claim the appearance of resurrected dead walking about in the
cities of the Roman empire caused such consternation and fear that the
Rome Emperor, Tiberius, issued an edict commanding that all tombs be
sealed at burial to prevent this from happening again.

Do I remember the name of this book?  NO!!!  (After all, I had it's
name stored on my computer.)

Still another debacle caused by disastrous crash and malfunction of
hard disk drive.  Will I ever learn?

They also claimed Pilates' wife figuratively dragged Pilate by the
nose to meet the Resurrected Christ.  And Pilate, who became a believer
with this experience, was so terrified of the prospective meeting, that
he took along 100 soldiers as escort.

And they claim that Emperor Tiberius was so enraged when he heard
Pilate had crucified Jesus ("You saw fit to actually execute a man who
could raise people from the dead?"), that he had Pilate brought back to
Rome and executed him.

I will once again try to recover the name of this fantastic book.
Will let you know if I find it.
