for the various insights on 2 Thessalonians 2:3.  I read Ezekial 22 through again after Ellen's comments and it is indeed rich with fulfilled prophecy.  One thought though after reading Eric's is something I had not considered.  That being the physical reality meaning of "falling away".  It means the opposite of "falling toward".  When we jump we fall back towards the earth.  But at the Rapture we would be falling "away" from the earth.  In other words on that day the physical reality of gravity will be reversed for those that are Raptured and instead of us falling toward the earth we will be "falling away" from the earth, towards the heavens.  Other people may have jumped to this interpretation right off but I didn't see it.

Which means that those translations that use the phrase "falling away" could be put into either the "neutral" category or another category such as "supporting if taken as a physical reality".

Just a thought.

Shalom,
Ted
