"Re: Len, I'm so sorry about
your dog"
Dearest Brother Len,
Please know we all
love you and weep with you for your
loss. You are in my prayers and thoughts. Most of us
have
been where you are now.
I have a long email
for you on animals in heaven but I
wanted to send you this short one today to comfort you
and
I don't think I have time to type the longer one.
First of all, not
long ago God spoke these words to me in
the first Person when I needed special comfort, "Yea
though
you walk THROUGH the valley of death, fear no evil, for
I am
with you, My rod and My staff they comfort you..." Know
that
you won't remain in that valley and that He will sustain
you
each step of the way.
I know so well how
you feel because a year ago this May
my beloved Rachael died. I could not have gotten through
it
had it not been for the presence of the LORD. The Animal
Psalm, 104, was the greatest comfort to me. To see how
God
esteems His creation and cares for them and their communication
with them. They are constantly aware of Him! Your dog
just made
the transition from here to there to be with the God
whose face
he could see from earth. (Ps 104:29) He is waiting for
you and
knows you will be coming. I'll give you Scripture for
that later.
For now keep the
faith. Don't doubt that Father loves you
and will always do the best for you. I want to offer
to you and
others free of charge an article I wrote for Harmony
Magazine on
the death of a pet. If you will send me your mailing
address or
email I will send it to you.
God be with you
and lift you up. May He make His face to
shine upon you. May He touch your heart with His love
for both
you and your dog. Remember "Love never fails"... you
will always
be bonded to your dog in love.
In Jesus, your sis,
Shelva
