Here are some of the Bible verses showing that God actually does hate the person who sins:

The difference for sodomy from other types of sins in ranking is this, that it is rebellion against the #1 (very first) command that God gave to man - to be fruitful and multiply. The second reason why it is worse is this, God "gave them up" to do this sin according to Romans chapter 1 verse 24, and God "gave them over to a reprobate mind" according to verse 28.

This abandonment by God of the sodomite is in keeping with how God dealt with the world in Noah's day, "my spirit will not always strive with man" Genesis 6:3 - God gives up after the sinfulness gets too bad.

That is why the sodomite is worse than other sins. However, it is very true that we all are sinners (big and small) and we all need salvation or we likewise will go to Hell. The difference is that the saved admit that we are sinners and that there is no excuse for our sin. True repentance is not being sorry for what you have done and were caught at - it is being sorry for who you are. Then, after that admission, a person can come to the Lord Jesus Christ as a sinner and ask forgiveness based upon his shed blood on the cross alone.

So, for this reason, the "gay pride" homosexual is a true reprobate and "given up" by God according to the Bible. Let us hold our ground here on this important point, otherwise we must deny the necessity of Calvary altogether.

Mary said, "Phelps church is not a Christian church." But I don't know why one would defend sodomites while hating a Christian minister for giving fiery sermons. I can't judge Fred Phelps's heart -  he says he is a Christian, and he obviously believes the Bible. Nobody said he was 100% correct all the time, but it seems strange to me that everyone hates him while everyone loves the modern tolerant churches. Jesus Christ said the true Christians would be know because they would be hated by all men. See Luke 6:23 and Luke 21:17 .

Mary also points out that 75% of sodomites were influenced to become a sodomite because of molestation. That merely proves how dangerous sodomites are, in that they often prey on defenceless little boys, and harm them. They sometimes molest hundreds of children over their lifetime, and this is a sick perversion that we need to denounce. I believe Phelps is showing true love to the sodomites as defined in the Bible, because he is giving them another opportunity to perhaps admit their sinfulness and repent. I don't agree with Mary when she says that God's love is "unconditional" - it is very conditional according to the Bible, and that's why we need to be saved.
