"Clarification -- The Difference in the Messages"

I would again like to respond to Matt concerning the issue of homosexuality.  The confusion lies in most well meaning people not knowing that there are two groups of people in homosexuality. Those who are "activists" and those who struggle in the lifestyle.

What makes Fred Phelps so dangerous is that he preaches "fire and brimstone" [and maybe more pastors behind pulpits should preach toward ALL who have ears to hear the "Hellfire and Brimstone" message].

But the GOOD NEWS is that we have been saved from the wrath of God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Phelps message is one of truth, but is not tempered with the message of the hope of God's deliverance. Stephen Bennett Ministries does --all from the perspective of someone who knows that with God, COMPLETE change is COMPLETELY possible.

God has given every man a conscience. They know deep down that homosexuality is sin.  Underneath it all, the true "self" is there. They need the message of HOPE that Stephen offers rather than the condemnation that many of them have already taken upon themselves.

I am not a homosexual, but I know firsthand the power of life and death in the tongue. I was raised in a strong Catholic family, with a father who was very critical and condemning of everything I did. Many already have this view of God the Father.  They believe the lie of the enemy that there is no hope for them.

That is the difference in the messages of both Phelps and Bennett, and why Fred Phelps actions are so truly dangerous.
