Dear Matt:
You said, I don't agree with Mary when she says that God's love is "unconditional" - it is very conditional according to the Bible, and that's why we need to be saved.Obviously, I am not talking about salvation, but deliverance. There are Christians because of circumstances in their lives [i.e. sexual molestation] find themselves in bondage to this sin. God says he will discipline those He LOVES per se Heb. 12.The BLOOD of JESUS CHRIST is the only criteria God looks for. There are not "different levels" of sin. You have besetting sins, just like the person struggling in homosexuality. [Heb. 12:1]Paul commands in Ephesians to "speak the truth in LOVE". Phelps does not do that. I don't see Phelps picketing bars and telling alcoholics they are going to hell.I bet a $100 bill that you never checked out Stephen Bennett's testimony on his website. His ministry is international. Stephen was saved but admitted that he was not "automatically" delivered from homosexuality. He first had to deal with his "issues" -- his being an emotionally distant father who struggled in alcoholism. To say that "all homosexuals" prey on children is simply untrue. I was stating one of the main causes that lead a person down that path. The person I have in mind was actually molested by a heterosexual person with some major issues, who was also raised a Christian.I am sure glad God is God, and not me and not you.Mary
