"THE DISAPPEARANCE OF SOME POSTERS"

Dear John,

I am writing after an absence of six months, due to the fact that I was slain by the tongue of a poster on your site. The point I am making is this. I am back after The Lord has healed my wounds, and something needs to be said to jolt people out of their way of thinking. A scholar or learned person who knows the word of truth and can recite it in their sleep can misuse their sword of truth. Put your sword back in it's sheath and quit using it to maim fellow christians! We are to be salt and light, not chili pepper and lasers...HEEL...Whoa!  Our tongues are the one thing that christians have a hard time getting control of. This makes us appear to be hypocrates. If our tongue offends, to convict of truth respectfully, then it is used properly. If the tongue is used as a sword to cut and maim, then it is misplaced. There is only one person who is symbolised as having a two edged sword proceeding from his mouth. He is our Savior, YESHUA/JESUS! We as christians are to carry the sword of truth  against the enemy, the deceiver satan! We are not to use it on each other! THE TRUTH OF THE WORD SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.  Make your point with salt and light.

Have you ever over salted a dish? Trying as hard as you can, you will never remove the excess. The dish must be thrown out and re-done. The redoing starts with an examination of where this deadly, heart piercing language comes from. There is only one person who can tame our tongue! THE HOLY SPIRT. Ask him to keep this in check. I do this tons of times a day! Please Prescious Spirit tame my tongue and make me a representative that you are proud of.  Judgement starts at the House of the Lord! I ask the Holy Spirit to tame MY tongue, it has to start with ME!

Picture this, we are standing before The Lord, The Judge of all the earth, we are humbled and he begins to speak. He says, I am proud of your zeal for me and for truth,  but I have this against you...you have slain many people with your tongue and you must now bear the consequences for that.  These are not the words I want my loving Savior to have to utter from his heart. We will be judged for every thought and every word that proceeds from our choice of words! This site is such a valuable tool! If you do not like what is written, correct the error, if there is one, with scripture proof -which is the sword of truth-with love and respect!  PUT YOR SWORDS OF TRUTH TO CORRECT USAGE! Peter was even rebuked for using his sword on the ear of the soldier who manhandled Our Lord! Zeal is great, but it is nullified and to wrong effect if the sword of truth has been removed from it's sheath with wrong intention! I am back with the armor of the Lord, but I never thought I would need this precious armor from fellow christians.

Looking up and loving the learning process! Kelly in Dallas

Hi Kelly,

Glad you're OK. Not sure if the scriptures below help.

Prov 10:11
The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

Prov 17:10
A reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool.

Prov 27:5-6
Open rebuke is better than secret love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

John
