Thank you for taking the time to write a very in-depth answer.  You have covered alot of ground  and for the benifit of anyone following this discourse, rather than answer directly, I would like to refer you to a teacher I greatly respect...Dr. Stephen Jones at: http://www.gods-kingdom.org/default.htm .   He is a dedicated bible scholar, historian and has also made an in-depth study of God's law (which is one of the most important components in understanding the "Jewish" subject, not to mention prophesy itself)  It is such an important subject, I feel he would do it far more justice than I.    If you go to his site...you will see a box on the left hand side: "articles"...click on that and there is one called "Who is a Jew"?  There are some good points worth considering. (particularily the good and evil "figs" of Jeremiah)
If you are fortunate enough to have high speed internet, he has a tape series that you can download on the book of Acts...or listen to on-line.  It is quite  amazing.  After 33 years of reading the book,  every word and verse took on new levels of understanding.
Aside from the fact that Dr. Jones has the historical background I haven't aquired ...I have one arm in a sling, making it very difficult to type...so please forgive me if this seems impersonal after  writing such a detailed response.  Bless you Brother Riley and always stay teachable won't you?  I know you will!  You love the Word!  Kathryn LeCorre
