"RE: Rene and Tattoo's"

John please do not share my email address, Thanks.

P,S May God bless you for your work!

 Rene,

While I agree with you about tattoos and piercing as an act of personal rebellion, I was not clear if you were referring to Christians who have had this done before they were saved or after. Your post could easily be misunderstood, as for people with Tattoos I need to come to their defense.

I myself have 3 tattoos and my ears pieced.  All done before I was saved, and I will not have anymore tattoos done because of what the bible tells us. At church I am ashamed of my tattoos (I cover them), but…in the same paragraph, I must say please do not judge people with tattoos, because their tattoos can testify that someone is either living, or repented of a very difficult life. This does not mean he/she is actively living a rebellious lifestyle because he/she might be covered in tattoos, it does not means to judge them with your hearts. I have met wonderful Christians covered in Tattoos with the best testimonies for witnessing, because of the bondage they were saved from. Jesus Christ came to heal the sick, not to heal the well.

Remember the parable of the two debtors? Who is more forgiven? The one who owed the most? Or the one who owed the least?

Who would be more grateful?

As for my own tattoos, I will not have them removed, because that would be doing the same exact act as putting them on. Tattoos are hard to remove, a piercing is easy take them out, but the scar stays. They are a testimony of the hard life I have lived, and if it is Gods will that the tribulation happens in my lifetime, I will probably be persecuted for the large cross I bear on my calf. I will not be ashamed of it then.

 Shalom
