In Revelation we see all of those who do not have the "seal" of the Lord
on their forehead and right hand have the :"mark" of the beast on their
forehead and right hand. If you look up the Greek word translated as
mark, you will see that it is basically a graven image, a symbol of the
beast. Look at the scriptures which speak of writing the law on your
doorpost, tie it to your forehead and to your right hand. So to this
day we see Orthodox Jews dutifully tieing scriptures in little
phylacteries to their heads and hands, while completely ignoring what it
actually means which is simply placing the law foremost in your thoughts
and in the works of your hands. If we are sealed with the Holy Spirit
on our foreheads, the Lord is foremost in our thoughts as we have the
mind of Christ, and He empowers the work of our hands. If the mark is a literal chip in the hand then are we also to look for
a literal stamp on foreheads? How about a literal lamb that was slain
and a literal dragon. They, and others, are in the same passage.
