"Re: for Pastor Riley"

Dear Kathryn,

Thank you for your reply.  I will indeed check out Stephen Jones study.  I am well aware that God's Word is a Jewish book, and in order to "rightly divide" the Word, it needs to be studied from the viewpoint of the Jews.  I have been trying to impress that fact on people for many years.
I could have referred you to Jeremiah 24 about the "evil figs" and the "good figs" in my response.   That text just adds to the truth set forth in Romans 2:28-29.  There is an "Israel of God"  [Galatians 6:16] made up of Jews who have [or prospectively will] place their faith in the Messiah and Savior of Israel.  Then there are Jews of whom the Lord Himself said, "Ye are of your father the devil..." John 8:44.  This was evidently because they are totally sold out to the devil, and such Jews will never be saved.
Sister, I don't have high speed internet.  I once had it, and you will probably think this strange, but I had so many problems with it I chose to go back to dial up.  More high tech, more problems.  Everybody to their own cup of tea.  High speed isn't mine.
Sorry to hear about your arm.  I will pray that you heal speedily.  And yes, for fifty-two years I have ask the Lord to keep my mind always open and alert to learning new aspects of His Word, and He has graciously answered my prayer.  You can rest assured that I will study Bro. Jones articles with an open mind.  But I will also study them with my Bible in my hand.  I go strictly by what the Word actually and literally says and teaches.  I have no use nor time for assumptions, ideas, opinions, theories, philosophy, nor anything else that adds to, takes from, reads into, changes, or otherwise corrupts the Word.  After fifty-two years of intense Bible study I know God's people have a Divinely Inspired Word that the Lord graciously gave us in the Masoretic Hebrew text and the Textus Receptus Greek that is absolutely inerrent and infallible, and I won't deviate from that for anyone.  If people want to consider my stand as being narrow minded, then they can have it.  I plead guilty.
Sister, I didn't expect you to write me a long personal letter.  I only wrote one because, as I said in my response, when people ask me a question, I want to give them an answer that is nailed down with book, chapter, and verse from God's Word.
God bless you.  Keep in touch.  Pray for me.
