Shalom dear doves,Are we in the last days ... or not?
"That very church which the world likes best
is sure to be that which God abhors."Charles Haddon Spurgeon
I trust that most doves know that that Bible strongly
teaches this ... in so many different ways ... and
scriptures. I found this quote by Spurgeon and would
like us doves to think on the many scriptures that it
touches ... Jesus said it is the Word - the Truth,
that sets us free. Many doves have openly claimed that we are in the last
days, a time which Jesus specifically characterizes as
a time of 'great deception' ...Many doves claim to be supportive of the study of all
the Bible, not excluding the parts about future events
and the 'last days' ... where as Rick Warren has
openly claimed that he would rather not get into
prophecy ... and present / and comming judgement.Doesn't the GOOD NEWS include that the Bible teaches
if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged
... but if we fail to do this ... then God will bring
judgements?I submit to all doves that some might be led to pray
and or exercise some of their teaching gifts to
enlighten Rick about prophecy, discernment, judgement
and some of the great deception(s) of these last days.Jesus says it best ...
"Every plant that My Father has not planted will be
pulled up by the roots."And ...
"The flesh profits nothing."
Jesus cautions us all to build wisely because all will
be tried by fire ... and He wants us to have great
reward ... rather than great loss.Even more fearfully, the Lord warns all that in an
approaching day, He will have to turn MANY away who
claim to be His true followers by pointing to their
ABOUNDANT work in His Name as a sufficent (but Jesus
teaches it is really insufficent) proof.Doesn't scripture teach that prophecy and discernment
should go together?May it be more so, Lord Jesus.
Amen.Shalom shalom,
David
