LONDON - Speaking publicly for the first time about the future of Jerusalem, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told Jewish community leaders in London on Monday that he had no intention of dividing the capital or giving away sovereignty of the Temple Mount.

Jerusalem will remain united as the capital of Israel and won't be divided under any future peace arrangements with the Palestinians, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert reportedly told his British counterpart during talks in London.

Olmert also said that contacts with the Palestinian Authority are underway to prepare for a summit between the Israeli prime minister and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. (Hagit Kleiman, London)
