LeslieYou wroteThis passage very clearly states that Gog/Magog will come against a land of unwalled villages, Northern Israel, as it exsists today. This is not an assault on Jerusalem which has walls and probably will untill Jesus comes back. They are defeated by God on the mountains of Israel, Northern Israel. The way I see it is...Gog/Magog is on the horizon...maybe this year even. Israel knows that Almighty God defeats the enemy...they turn back to Judaism, from secularism...the move to establish the temple and sacrifices is realized.
This is great thinking! And Ive always wondered about Zechariah 14:1,2 which saysBehold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. This sounds as if Jerusalem at the Day of the Lord will be divided and perhaps will actually have walls dividing it during the final seven years. So you right to a degree, but I think that if there was a sneak attack on Israel as Ezekiel states it would be in Israels soft spots and not just in the mountains. The mountains probably refer to Israel as a whole!ThankyouBlessings.
