"Blood pressure"

Hi All:

I thought this might be interesting to our readers.

A few years ago I was trying to lose weight and was having a glass of V-8 juice and three or four stalks of celery for breakfast, and again for lunch.

After a couple of weeks I went to get up out of my chair and I almost passed out, my wife tried to take my blood pressure, but couldn't get a reading, so we went to the emergency room where I told the doctor what I was doing to lose weight. He said don't you know that eating too much celery will lower your blood pressure, I said no that never heard that till now.

I ask him why he and other doctors didn't tell this to paitents who needed to lower thier blood pressure, he just muttered something and left the room.

I've also seen on John Hagee's TV program Dr. Don Colbert saying that eating four stalks of celery a day would lower blood pressure.

I think it's best to tell your doctor before trying this on your own especially if your already on medication.

Anyway I didn't have a blood pressure then or now, thank God !!!, but that celery sure does work. And I'm careful now as to how much I eat of it.

Maranatha,
