I think Phelps has gotten enough publicity already so I was hesitant to respond to the letters about him.  I think most of us would agree that homosexuality is considered a sin according to the Word of God.
 
And although I am the last person to bad mouth any "man of God", I can tell you from having to live in the same city with Phelps and his "church", that there is nothing Godly about this group. They are cruel and disgusting.  They were even worse before they were forced to stop using some of their despicable signs.  They are picketing somewhere almost every day in this town (and Topeka is not that large).  Their signs are repulsive and I've had to learn to avoid even looking their way when I go by because they practically make me sick to my stomach.   He makes our city look like a joke to the media.
 
The Word says you shall know them by their fruit.  I've seen no good fruit from this group.  They only hurt people and turn them off on religion.  The only people they are converting are their poor young brainwashed children that they are forcing to hold signs on the street corners.  To top that off, it appears to me that it's a one agenda church.   Hating fags...that's it...  I've never seen any of them holding a Bible or anything like that.  Does that sound like something the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ would support?
