Hi Patricia, you asked:
I was just
checking my calendar for Father's Day and noticed that the Orthodox Pentecost
is on June 11th. Any comments?
Yes, from what I've studied,
Orthodox Pentecost is June 11th and Orthodox Pentecost Monday is June 12th.
As far as comments ~
well, here are my thoughts.
I knew that if Pentecost
(this past weekend when many of us were anticipating the possible rapture
of the Church) ~ I knew that if it came & went, then many people would
automatically start pegging Rosh Hashanah as the correct rapture date....
*smile*.....
Call me stubborn, but
I have not & will not give up on this month just yet.
Perhaps Pentecost in Israel is over for this year, but after all we were told
that ON the third day He would raise us up.
Hosea 6:2
After two days He will
revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight.
My point being that perhaps
we are to go on just a little past Pentecost. Of course, I have no way
of knowing for sure, none of us do. But yet this makes sense to me.
Further consider that
we are 2 weeks from the start of summer, so if we are to be raptured in the
spring, it could still yet happen. {only takes as much time as
to wink your eyes -- and wham -- we're standing on a cloud with Jesus!
;)
Just me -- with the signs
of the tribulation enveloping us on every side, I do not see how we could
even go till Rosh Hashanah before the rapture. Could be wrong;
have been before.
Pentecost was the end
of barley harvest, but the START of WHEAT harvest -- and well, we are the
WHEAT, are we not? Okay, possibly that is a stretch.
;)
In the mean time, I stay
hopeful & keep watching with expectation. I full well expect to
hear that trumpet soon -- possibly yet this spring!
Maranatha!
Ps.34:
17 When his people pray for help, he listens and rescues them from their troubles.
The Lord is there to rescue all who are discouraged and have given up hope.
The Lord's people may suffer a lot, but He will always bring them safely through.
