"I John 2:15"

I just want to pass along some information regarding the scripture on
Five Doves, 6-29-05 that I learned recently from Perry Stone.  The
scripture found in I John 2:15 states that we are not to love the world,
yet John 3:16 states that God loved the world that he gave His only
Son.  Is there a contradiction?

There are three meanings of the word in the Greek, and one of those is
world.  As believers, we should love the world as we will one day rule
it with Christ.  The second meaning is political system, and this is
what the scripture is referring to in I John.  We are not to love the
political system of this world (there is much better one coming).  The
third meaning is people, and this is what John 3:16 is referring to.  We
should certainly love people whether we want to or not.  If God hadn't
loved each one of us, we would have a miserable existence here, and a
horrible future in eternity.

They will know we are Christians by our love!
