Paul stated that Adam's sin was disobedience but it is possible that it can be defined even further. Adam was created in God's image. We don't know if Adam knew that, but in all probability he did. This then, would make Adam's sin "unbelief" for satan tempted him with the chance to become like God. Isn't it mindblowing to think that all of mankind died spiritually because of the sin of "unbelief"? K. LeCorre
