On 9-11, anti-American hijackers stole our airplanes and destroyed the Twin Towers in NYC, killing some 3,000 Americans.

Now, anti-American, leftist hijackers such as the ACLU are trying to steal the memorial planned for Ground Zero: the International Freedom Center.

Debra Burlingame, a sister of the pilot of one of the hijacked 9/11 planes, wrote in The Wall Street Journal: "Ground Zero has been stolen right from under our noses."

The New York Post says: Burlingame, a director of the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation, charged that instead of focusing on the horrible crime of the Islamic hijackers, it will focus on what is wrong with America, including such wholly off-topic issues as the alleged 'genocide' of Americans Indians, the fight against slavery, as well as human rights abuses in other countries, such as the Holocaust and the Soviet Gulag. The International Freedom Center (IFC) seems destined to become a multimillion-dollar bash-America palace. Real Americans, after all, have no trouble recalling that Ground Zero is the site of an unspeakable atrocity committed against them. They'll wonder by what perverted logic is it appropriate to use the spot to dredge up shameful, painful episodes in American history that have nothing to do with 9/11. Let's be clear: America did nothing to deserve 9/11. Indeed, the fanatics ­ infused with hatred, ignorance and intolerance ­ targeted the United States precisely because it stands as a monument to freedom and the material prosperity it produces."

On her Web site, columnist Michelle Malkin says, "Debra Burlingame... has blown the whistle on George Soros and other human rights zealots who are trying to turn Ground Zero into a blame-America monument.
