Dear friends:

Last night I got a call from Reverend Ron Patterson of Kentucky.  Ron had just returned from one of his periodic trips to teach for a group in California, which pays his expenses.  He has been doing this for several years.

This time, he said, something unusual happened.

There was a new lady in the group, a visitor, someone Ron did not know.  He leaned that she was a successful business woman in the area.  It became clear to Ron early on that the lady was skeptical.  Her skepticism was written on her face and in her body language.

But sometime during his teaching, Ron says that the woman suddenly became attentive and seemingly absorbed by what Ron was saying, even leaning forward.  He was teaching about the love of God.  He wondered why her sudden change in interest.

After the service, the woman shared with him that she had, indeed, been skeptical, as there are so many weirdos in California.  She didn't really know whether or not Ron was just another one of them.  But during the teaching, the lady said she begin to hear beautiful singing.  She looked around for the source but could not find it.  She thought Ron may have had a remote device that turned it on, but that proved wrong.  There was no source.  She and Ron concluded that it had to be a sovereign act of God, who allowed her to be able to hear in the spirit realm angels singing during Ron's teaching about God's love.  Ron was awed, greatly humbled, and elated.

In the past, I have heard different audio tapes of angels singling.  One was in the church of a friend in Maryland as a lady was playing the piano, singing and leading worship.  The background voices were beautiful -- actually heavenly!  I have owned and heard tapes of three other occasions in different churches, but the tapes are no longer available.  One occasion happened in China and was given to me by a missionary friend.  I tell the story on my Web site, with the lyrics of their song in the Chinese language and also translated by another missionary, at http://www.choicesforliving.com/spirit/part3/angels.htm (near the end of the long article).

(Goose bumps are permissible!  The above is a good reminder of the presence of angels with us and how beautiful the music must be in heaven.)
