UFO’s and Space-Time Jim Bramlett is right about UFO’s not being from other planets. In one word, here’s why it is physically impossible—distance.
Just to build a machine large enough to carry a crew from the earth to the nearest star would exhaust all resources on earth.
Then, after thousands of years, when we finally reached Alpha-Centauri there would be no place to land, because there are no planets circling Alpha-Centauri. There is a significant reason.
Alpha Centauri is a triple star. Multiple star systems cannot have planets circling them because of the elliptical paths of the stars, caused by circling each other. The stars would sweep all planet material out of their region, preventing planets from being made.
The vast majority of stars are actually multi-star systems and have no planets circling them. Luke Skywalker’s home planet could not exist because you see two suns in the sky. It is just a fun fantasy.
But Alpha Centauri is less than four light years away. Why would it take thousands of years to get there?
Because the human body cannot take acceleration much over one “g” force for an extended period of time. All the blood would pool in the legs and feet. The higher “g” forces we now experience in space travel are for only a very short period of time.
But what about “time travel” as a means to get there faster?
Time travel is another fantasy. In order for there to be time travel, there has to be time to travel through. Yet, time has no physical attributes that can be manipulated by physical technology. Time is not composed of particles that respond to physical forces. Time has no physical existence.
In fact, time is only an abstract concept of measurement. Time is the means by which we measure the change in the relationships between things in motion. Time is not something we measure, time is the measurement.
But what about bending space and traveling through worm-holes so we can get there faster?
You run into the same problem with bending space and creating worm-holes as you do with manipulating time.
Space has no physical properties. This means that space cannot be manipulated and bent, nor can holes be drilled through it. Why?
Because space, like time, has no physical existence. It is not composed of physical particles that can be manipulated by the control of physical forces.
So, the nature, or lack of, of these three things—distance, time, and space are evidences why there can be no physical interstellar travel.
There are two other evidences that the enthusiasts for interstellar travel completely ignore.
First, is the failure of radio telescopes to receive any intelligent signaling. These telescopes have been combing the sky for nearly fifty years.
Before the first one was turned on, the speculation was rampant that it would be receiving so much signaling that it would be like turning on an AM radio and tuning across the dial in the 1960’s.
There would be so many signals that they would overlap each other. Many believed it would be hard to get a clear signal because there would be so many others interfering.
If evolutionary theory were correct, and if the speculation that there should be countless other civilizations out there was correct, then there had to be countless signals waiting to be received.
Expectations were so high, and the tension so great, that many could hardly stand the suspense. Then the day came to turn on the telescope.
Nothing happened. There was nothing but cosmic static. No matter where they pointed the scope and no matter what frequency they tuned it too, all they got was cosmic static—even to this day.
This one failure was so immense that it should have permanently knocked the wind out of the belief in, and search for, extra-terrestrial civilizations.
But it had no impact. Because belief systems are not really based in evidence.
Second, in the 1940’s at Los Alamos, the physicist Max Plank, stated, “If there were anyone else out there, we would already know it.”
